Welcome!

Mark Griffin is a successful Hair Stylist and aspiring Interior Designer from the greater Los Angeles area. He will soon be a graduate of The fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, CA where he was honored to be the “Designer of Tomorrow” National Scholarship Winner. It is Mark’s love for the entertainment industry and desire to be a set designer and art director that brought him back to college. Now having been exposed to the diverse options ahead of him in the interior design industry, Mark has not limited himself in his pursuit for a career as a designer. Mark has gained experience in furniture design, event design, residential, commercial, and hospitality design, and more. Mark feels confident in his ability to design everything from the architectural elements of an interior space to the smallest details like custom accessories. You can be assured of his design abilities by the many awards and recognitions he has received. You will also be able to witness his abilities first hand in the HGTV’s new first ever docu-design series “Design School” due to air in Summer 2010!

 

Barbie 50th Anniversary

As part of Barbie’s 50th anniversary celebration, Mark was selected by Mattel to create a one of a kind Barbie chair for a life size Barbie as part of the FIDM Fashion Debut 2009

CHAIRING STYLES

Cotton Incorporated’s Chairing Styles is a competition where the FIDM Textile, Fashion, and Interior Design

Students collaborate to create new and innovative designs. Mark was the honored recipient of the First Place Prize
with his custom designed suitcase chair called the Gypsy Traveler.
